Lily, that makes sense. I just don't think you can say 'I'll take what's said on WHO with a pinch of salt but Twitter I'll take deadly serious'.

Isn't this sort of comment the norm since social media came about?

And do these sort of things surprise anyone anymore really consider how many unusual people there are in the world?

I don't have kids and actually can't stand children, so although it's wrong, it's not the sort of thing that bothers me at all, just the writer is obviously an oddball who won't be missed when dead.

I suppose where all this is leading is the eventual criminalisation of people for being unpleasant. Yay, the 21st century.

gank, firstly i don't consider WHO a site of no recourse, I'm just less surpsrised to read certain robust stuff on here. That doesn't mean i don't think anything can be said without potential consequence.

Secondly, I have not said I would want to assault whoever made these remarks, though I would like to meet them and ask a few questions. I am genuinely intirgued. I did say that people would probably get their heads stoved in if they said this about someone's baby daughter in front of the parents.

It would take quite a lot for someone on here to make me genuinely want to meet for a fight, but I can't rule out creative wind up genius, which does exist on WHO. That is NOT a challenge, by the way.

"but they're just designed to cause offence and alarm to numpties who have only just discovered the Internet isn't a very nice place"

No it's probably some basement dweller who gets their kicks out of being nasty to people and believing there's no consequence. There isn't some profound, modern-art reasoning behind people like that. The sort of people who do things like that are usually the really shy polite IT bloke in your office. They're not doing it to cause uproar, they're doing it cos they wouldn't have the bollocks to say anything to anyone in real life.

Loads of people put pictures of their kids online without having some weirdo saying they're gonna rape them. Vardy hasn't been "naive". He's just come across some absolute loser or kid who thinks their actions don't have consequence. Like I said I don't generally agree with the police getting involved over tweets but maybe it could be the kick up the arse the tweeter needs.

Re: Man U fan's sick tweet to Jamie Vardy
Blimey, we're a bit sensitive today aren't we? Yeah the comments are out of order but they're just designed to cause offence and alarm to numpties who have only just discovered the Internet isn't a very nice place. The media uproar and your bedwetting over some words on the Internet ensures that this sort of thing will continue happening because that's exactly what the originator of the comments wants.
Bit naive of Vardy to think this wouldn't happen, but it's sad that a bloke can't stick a pic of his kid up without shit like this happening. All part of his learning curve of being a top end player I guess. My advice would be to jack Twitter in as it's for needy cunts and it's unprofessional.

Calm down you lot, save all this vitriol for when something bad actually happens.

Re: Man U fan's sick tweet to Jamie Vardy
Lily it's because the likes of you consider this a site of no recourse that the problem is created, presumably you'd never want to meet up with anyone for a fight regardless of what they say on here, yet you can claim to want to assault whoever made these remarks against a footballer you don't even know personally. Except you wouldn't, because as you've said you don't agree that anything should be done about things said on here. Which actually makes your faux grief all the more pointless.
